We have something to confess: Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris are our musical OTP (that’s “one true pairing” for those not matchmaking celebrities in their heads all day).
While we know they’re not together in real life (she’s dating mega-foxy British actor Jeremy Irvine, while he’s with singer Rita Ora), you can’t blame us for thinking that way after watching their so-sweet-it’s-giving-me-a-cavity music video for “I Need Your Love”! ”We wanted the video to really be ‘love,’” Ellie told ANDPOP’s Caity Babcock. “People try to do that all the time and sometimes there’s no connection.”
They obviously worked really well together as their chemistry practically jumps off the screen and makes you pine for a relationship as adorable as their faux one.
While pretending to be in love with a total stranger on-camera is difficult, Ellie said faking it for the camera wasn’t so difficult with Calvin by her side. They’ve known each other for a while, after all. Ellie and Caity also dive into the topics of touring (she’s currently on the road supporting Bruno Mars!) and her fashion bible-like Instagram account (we want all of her outfits RIGHT NOW).
